📌 Purpose & Quick Summary

Use the SSL tab to protect your visitors with high-grade HTTPS encryption. You can issue a free, auto-renewing Let's Encrypt certificate with 1 click or paste your own custom commercial SSL certificate (Sectigo, DigiCert, etc.).

🛠️ Step-by-Step Instructions: Issuing Free Let's Encrypt AutoSSL

  1. Open website Config and select the SSL tab (#tab-ssl).
  2. Make sure your domain's DNS A record points to your server's IP address.
  3. Select Let's Encrypt (Free).
  4. Check the domains to include (e.g., yourdomain.com and www.yourdomain.com).
  5. Click Apply SSL Certificate.
  6. BoostonCP completes the HTTP-01 challenge, provisions the 4096-bit RSA certificate, installs it into Nginx, and sets up a background cron job for automatic renewal every 60 days.
  7. Enforce HTTPS: Switch the Force HTTPS toggle to ON to automatically redirect all non-secure HTTP traffic to secure HTTPS.
