BoostonCP provides two ways to add files to your server: high-speed chunked browser upload for local files, and an automated background downloader that fetches large files directly from external URLs or shared Google Drive links at server network speeds (up to 1 Gbps).

🛠️ Step-by-Step Instructions: Uploading Files from Your PC

  1. Click the Upload button on the File Manager toolbar.
  2. Drag and drop your files or .zip archives directly into the upload dropzone, or click Select Files.
  3. BoostonCP uses chunked file streaming: even multi-gigabyte archives upload smoothly without hitting PHP upload timeouts.
  4. Once progress reaches 100%, click Close. Your uploaded files appear in the directory table immediately.

  1. Click the Remote Download button on the toolbar.
  2. In the modal:
    • Download URL: Paste any direct HTTP/HTTPS file download link (e.g., https://wordpress.org/latest.zip) or a public Google Drive sharing link.
    • File Name: Name of the saved file on your server (e.g., wordpress.zip).
  3. Click Start Download. The server downloads the file directly in the background without consuming your personal internet bandwidth.
