📌 Purpose & Quick Summary

Managing client accounts requires robust lifecycle operations. As a reseller, you need the power to log into your customer's control panel to provide technical assistance, temporarily suspend accounts due to invoice delinquency or resource abuse, and permanently terminate cancelled accounts. BoostonCP provides 1-click Login-As User into Port 2083 with zero password prompts, alongside safe suspension and termination protocols.

🖥️ Interface Tour & Elements

In the Client Accounts Ledger Table, each row contains dedicated action controls in the right-hand column:

  1. 1-Click Login-As Button (sign-in icon): Instantly generates an ephemeral bridge token and launches the client's User Panel on Port 2083 in a new browser tab.
  2. Change Password Button (key icon): Opens a modal allowing you to reset the customer's password on demand.
  3. Suspend / Unsuspend Button (pause icon): Instantly disables public web traffic and panel access while keeping data 100% intact.
  4. Terminate Account Button (trash icon): Decommissions the user, removes Linux files, and drops MySQL databases.

🛠️ Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Performing 1-Click Login-As into Customer User Panel

  1. Locate the customer's account row in the Users table.
  2. Click the Login to User Panel button (blue sign-in icon).
  3. BoostonCP creates a secure one-time bridge token and opens: https://server.boostonserver.com:2083/?login_token=<secure_token>
  4. The client's User Panel opens immediately, allowing you to manage files, configure email, or troubleshoot domains on their behalf without knowing their password.

Step 2: Suspending a Delinquent Client Account

  1. Locate the customer in the ledger.
  2. Click the Suspend button.
  3. Confirm the action in the prompt.
  4. The system immediately:
    • Locks the client's User Panel login.
    • Redirects all incoming HTTP/HTTPS traffic to a branded "Account Suspended" landing page.
    • Halts all cron jobs and active PM2 background processes.
    • Preserves all website files, emails, and database tables untouched.

Step 3: Unsuspending an Account

  1. Click the Suspended tab to view inactive accounts.
  2. Click the Unsuspend button (play icon) next to the account.
  3. Full website operations, panel access, and cron jobs resume in under 2 seconds.

Step 4: Permanently Terminating an Account

  1. Click the Delete / Terminate button (red trash icon).
  2. Type the confirmation prompt to ensure this is not an accidental click.
  3. Click Confirm Termination.
  4. The backend unlinks /home/username, purges Nginx vhosts, drops MariaDB databases, and frees up your reseller quota allocation.

❓ Troubleshooting & Common Errors

1. Login-As Fails with "Invalid Bridge Token"

  • Cause: Browser blocked third-party popups or token expired during slow connection.
  • Solution: Ensure your browser allows popups for server.boostonserver.com. Click the Login-As button again to issue a fresh token.

2. Terminated Account Domain Still Points to Server

  • Cause: Domain's external DNS registrar still has A records pointing to the server IP.
  • Solution: Instruct the customer to update their DNS records at their domain registrar, or remove any remaining DNS-only zones in the DNS menu.
