BoostonCP supports dual-engine security by integrating CSF (ConfigServer Security & Firewall) and LFD (Login Failure Daemon). LFD continuously monitors authentication logs (SSH, FTP, Webmail, cPanel login) and bans attacking IPs automatically.

🛠️ Step-by-Step Instructions: Managing CSF & LFD

  1. Click the CSF & LFD tab.
  2. Temporary Bans Table: Inspect temporary bans issued by LFD. Click Unban next to any false-positive IP.
  3. Trigger Thresholds: Adjust how many failed password attempts (e.g., 5 failed SSH attempts) trigger an automatic 24-hour block.
  4. Click Restart CSF/LFD to apply modifications.
